About us

When we were renovating our home, we wanted light and space to be the focal point. Steel doors and windows felt like the way to bring our space to life and offer functional art in our home. Rather than being met with a streamlined experience, we instead went through a dragged-out process of obtaining quotes and designing our own products, and ultimately were left deflated with a disappointing end-product. As they say when one door closes…

We created Steela, so you can have a space to craft your own door or window design with complete ease. Based in Sydney, and servicing Australia-wide, our furnishings are a collaboration between our in-house designers, and you. Beyond creating highly customisable works of art, we’re making steel accessible across Australia. Finally, an elegant product tailored to your needs.

Build with Steela

We’ve devised three different ways to build with Steela. From simplified to 100% bespoke.

Customer Testimonials

Working with Steela has been an absolute pleasure! Their designs are innovative, their process user friendly and they have meticulous attention to detail. We ordered the BARDI and EAMES door, and their products and finishes were exceptional. The service Steela provided our team as builders and the extra technical information  our site required was a breath of fresh air. Exceptional professionalism and a commitment to excellence make them my top choice for future projects.

Working with Steela has been a transformative experience. The quality of their products are unmatched, and their customisability makes using their doors and windows an easy choice for my clients’ projects. From concept to completion, they seamlessly translated my vision into a stunning reality. Their expertise and passion truly set them apart.

Antonio Nucifora Design

We ordered a DREW door with Steela as part of our family home renovation. We couldn’t be happier with Rolf and the team. We initially found Steela through Instagram. After submitting the dimensions, we received a quote within two days. The entire process was seamless, with easy communication between us and Steela, and clear communication between our builder and Steela for the install process. Rolf and the team were very involved in the drawing process and kept us informed every step of the way. They also made it easy for us to really understand technical aspects of their products and how it will interact with our finishes. They are experts in their field. Thank you for helping us create our dream family home.
