1. Choose your preferred Steela door or window design and customise it for your project. A quote will be generated immediately. Quotes are subject to change from time-to-time.
2. Add the item to your cart and proceed to checkout. You will be required to register an account so we can help manage your order.
3. Proceed to place an order for shop drawings for your selected product. You will be required to pay a deposit of 50% of the purchase price at checkout.
4. We will email you shop drawings within 7 business days. Once you approve the shop drawings, fabrication of your products will commence.  Your product will be available for delivery from our warehouse within 12 – 16 weeks.
5. Prior to transportation of your product from our Sydney warehouse, we will send you a final invoice for the balance of the purchase price. Once we receive the balance, we will arrange for shipping to your nominated address.

About Our Products

Our custom, handmade steel windows and doors are made from high quality hot dipped, galvanized carbon steel with a modern Z-Tube super slim profile, including your choice of glazing in a multitude of style and design options to suit your custom building project.

Your product will be shipped and delivered in a layer of plastic film, soft foam sheet, corrugated paper board, bubble wrap and wooden sealed box. Single glazed products weigh approximately 25kg per square meter and double-glazed products weigh up to 37kg per square meter.

Dimensions

The dimensions you enter will be inclusive of the frame and jamb. So if you insert a height of 2m, the doors will be slightly smaller than 2m to accommodate the frame. Given the handmade nature of these products, there may be a variation in size of up to 3mm.

Glass

We offer a choice of single glazed, double glazed, single glazed fluted, and single glazed + fluted (the reeded form of double glazing), however we can also provide, Rainstorm, Hammered, Aquatex, Course Linen, Pinhead and AGC Low-E upon request. All single panels of glass are 5mm of toughed safety glass which is certified in accordance with glass standard AS 4666:2012 and AS 2208:1996 .

Double glazing options can reduce noise from outside and keep your house cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

If your purchase your product glazed, the product will come with the glass installed. If you elect to have the glass supplied separately (uninstalled), we will supply you with the glass but you will need to arrange and pay to have the product glazed.

Handles

Doors: All doors (except sliding doors) will come with your choice of the lever or pull handle pictured below in black unless you purchase the product without a handle, in which case your product will be supplied with holes to install a handle.  You just need to send us your hardware specification prior to drawings being signed off.

Sliding Doors: Sliding doors will come with the handle pictured below in black, unless you elect to have the product supplied without a handle, in which case your product will be supplied with holes to install a handle. You just need to send us your hardware specifications prior to drawings being signed off.

Locks

External door locks: Your door will be supplied with a mortice lock unless you elect to have the product supplied without a lock, in which case your door will be supplied with a cavity to install the lock. You just need to send us your lock specifications prior to drawings being signed off.

Internal privacy locks: If you elect to have an internal privacy lock, it will be supplied with a dead bolt and a key thumb.

Colours

Our standard product ranges comes in Matt Black or Pure White, however you can order products in any colour listed in the Classic RAL System

Jamb Sizing (frame)

Our jamb size is 45mm x 50mm, however we can also make custom jamb sizes on request.

Jamb Sizing (to accommodate lock)

Our standard lock jamb is 80mm which fits Steela’s standard lock and also a variety of different Australian locks including the popular Lockwood Selector® 3782 Short Backset Universal Mortice Lock. However we can also make custom jamb sizes upon request.

Threshold

Our products will come without a threshold unless you specify otherwise.

would you like to add handles and locks

Please see our FAQ to learn more about the handle and lock options we provide. If you order your door without a lock or handle, we will leave the jamb empty with holes for the handle and lock. Just give us the specifications of your hardware before signing off on the shop drawings and we will make the products to accommodate it.
